Every session, scored
Expiry pinning, earnings-and-OPEX overlap, data mornings, Fed days and rebalance closes, scored in Trend or Risk mode, with the chop window for each day.
SPX Zero scores every SPX session from what's on the schedule, reads how premarket built, and tracks the trend moves as the day unfolds. It describes the conditions. The decisions stay yours.

A mega-cap earnings day in an earnings-heavy week, the day after an FOMC decision and the session before month-end. Here is what SPX Zero showed, and what the tape did.
Chop window 9:30 – 11:30 AM
Key levels, converted to SPX points.
Each trend move was added to the Day Desk as it formed, refreshed through the session, with the day's biggest move marked.
The morning chopped, inside the window the calendar had marked and the premarket read had pointed to.
One session proves nothing on its own. The method below says what the score can and can't see.
The score comes from scheduled events alone: expiries, earnings windows, economic releases, Fed days, holidays and rebalances. Price never moves the score.
Each session starts at 100, and each factor removes its share of what is left, so stacked days sink but stay ranked against each other.
Trend mode weighs friction for intraday trends: pinning, rotation, thin books. Risk mode weighs scheduled event and gap risk.
Weights were checked against 31 sessions of SPX price data, Sep 17 to Oct 29, 2026. The calendar can't see unscheduled news, and about half of clear-calendar days in that sample still chopped.
Measured from intraday SPX prices and shown alongside the score. They record what the session did; the score never uses them.
FOMC dates from the Federal Reserve, CPI, PPI and jobs dates from the BLS, checked weekly. Holidays, OPEX and VIX expiry are computed from exchange rules.
